The M-4500 series hydraulic boring attachments are available in three distinct configurations: M-4500, M-4500SS, and M4500MS. The M-4500 can be easily attached to the backfill bucket of any full size or mini-skid steer. The M-4500SS is attached to a mini-skid steer by means of a quick-attach plate, and the M-4500MS attaches to a full size skid steer in the same method. Powered by the hydraulics of the skid steer, the units are cable of producing tunnels up to 4-1/2" diameter using the dry compaction or slurry boring method of drilling. Speeds of 8' per minute and distances of 200' are possible depending on soil conditions.
Backfill Attachment

The unit will fill a trench, up to 6' in depth, in only one pass. The offset auger moves large amounts of material quickly into the trench and provides for even clean up on both sides. This attachment eliminates the need for shoveling and trencher backfilling. Using this backfill attachment together with the horizontal earth drill greatly improves productivity and minimizes additional equipment on the jobsite.

This attachment comes in two models and allows for efficient surface preparation to a depth of 2” to 4”. The units have replaceable tines and are rugged enough to remove stones, twigs and other debris, and can be used with or without a basket. A soil preparation drum, coupled with 4” digging tines prepare the surface for seeding while minimizing dust and make this attachment ideal for both residential and commercial landscaping.
